Recipe: Perfection Salad

Cabbage, radishes add crunch to gelatin!

2 envelopes unflavoured gelatin
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp salt
2.5 c. boiling water
1/2 c. vinegar
2 tbsp lemon juice, fresh, frozen or canned
1.5 c. VERY finely shredded cabbage
1 c. chopped celery
1/4 c. chopped pimiento
1/2 c. chopped green pepper

Thoroughly mix gelatin, sugar, salt; add boiling water, stirring until sugar dissolves. Add vinegar and lemon juice. Cool. When mixture begins to thicken, add remaining ingredients. Pour into loaf pan or 10 individual moulds. Chill firm. Unmould on lettuce. Garnish with ripe olive halves. Loaf makes 8-10 servings. When you're entertaining the crowd, make a double recipe in twin loaves, as shown in the picture above.
