Buy Me Some Peanuts And Cracker Jack

Ernie knew he shouldn't have gotten that Cracker Jack the minute he paid for it. But Gwendolyn wanted him to eat it because that was "what they did in Eden Falls every summer," and he wanted to impress her, and he wanted to fit into her lifestyle.

Ernie sacrificed a lot for Gwendolyn....he modified his Brooks Brothers wardrobe to suit her more plaid-leaning trouser tastes; he learned how to love a sweater vest...but the Cracker Jack that dislodged his filling was the final straw. He would have to break up with her over dinner. If he could only find the courage.

Though one should be prepared to vomit rather frequently and disport with pink elephants and assorted grotesqueries while trying often unsuccessfully to make one's way to the toilet.
