Recipe: Hocks n' Kraut

2 one-pound cans of sauerkraut
2 tablespoons of brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon of caraway seed
1 unpared large tart apple, sliced
1 medium onion, sliced
4 large smoked ham hocks

With kitchen shears, snip through kraut several times while still in cans to cut up any long strips. In a greased 2 qt casserole dish, combine kraut, brown sugar, and caraway seed. Fold in apple slices. Layer onion slices over kraut mixture. Top with ham hocks. Bake for 3-4 hours at 325ยบ.
Serve in casserole, or, if desired, garnish with olives and parsley. To complete meal, serve buttered beets and a fresh spinach salad.

Uh, excuse me, I see SIX ham hocks there, not FOUR! This recipe sucks and I want my money back!
