Book Em, Dan-o!

Being a bookie had its perks, when Herman really thought about it. You got to meet new people; you got to give good advice; the money wasn't bad. Really, it was a more rewarding career than, say, being a gravedigger or one of those people who scrape up elephant shit at the circus. Yeah! Yeah! And bookies get to read up about horses, and they can calculate numbers and stuff? And sometimes they even get a little sumpin' sumpin' on the side, like for instance, a blackmailed wife? But he hadn't yet reached that point. The real question was, what would Herman put as his occupation on his tax return form?
