Deborah was beginning to regret that damn pact. She thought he was joking when he told her she was making a deal with the Devil, much like Jim did when he was joking that she'd get into pictures with her looks. But after that guy kept trying to get her to denounce religion and jump off cliffs, she was beginning to wonder.
