Conversation In The Bathroom

"What is the meaning of this?"

It had been a long time coming. Lester and Greg were on the outs - it wasn't a secret. Greg's long hours at the office, Lester's lonely nights at home, making sauces and stews, crying into his sherry. The emotional isolation eats at you like a cancer, making you hunger for company, starve for affection, writhe in wantonness.

And then, miracle of miracles, Ted noticed him one night at Crate and Barrel. Ted was tall, lean, muscular, handsome. And independently wealthy. He didn't need a job, because he was one of the Barringtons. Every family had one - the confirmed bachelor? Well, that was Ted. Lester knew who Ted was, he'd seen him in the papers. They became fast friends when they discovered a mutual love for chenille throw pillows.

Of course, they were discreet. After all, Greg was never back home before 9.00 in the evening. It left plenty of time for them to get to know each other better. To revel in life once more.

But one night, their little romance took a sour turn when Greg arrived home early. They had to fumigate the office for cockroaches that evening, and Greg thought it would be nice to have a warm dinner for a change. Something with tilapia. But upon opening the bathroom door, expecting to see Lester in his maribou slippers, he got the shock of his life.

The real question now was, who would get custody of the bischon friese?
